Workshop Description:

We come into this practice to shed inhibitions – not pounds.

Our intentions are not to step into a smaller size – but to step into our power.

We come seeking our truth – not a number.

Buti Yoga isn’t just a workout – it’s a chance to create – let go – connect – and sweat with intention. A soulful blend of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning and deep abdominal toning this all-in-one workout tones and sculpts the entire body while facilitating complete inner transformation. The Spiral Structure Technique methodology of movement tones the core using a spiral instead of linear movement to address both the large outer muscles that move the body as well as the inner stabilizing muscles. Buti Yoga helps women tap into their inner power to unleash unshakable confidence, uncover true desire and bond with other women instead of compete.

Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means “a cure that has been hidden or kept secret.” It was initially used in reference to Ayurvedic herbs considered jadi buti. In today’s society, women are taught that the next cleanse or diet fad will give them happiness. At Buti, we believe the TRUE cure to emotional and physical ailments comes from WITHIN. The practice of Buti Yoga helps women strip away the layers that hide this cure and bring about total transformation.

We call our students and instructors “Butisattvas.” Sattva means enlightened one. Therefore a Butisattva is one that has successfully realized the power to heal is within. While the practice of Buti Yoga is mainly geared towards women, men are encouraged to unroll the mat, tapping into their shakti.

In Buti, the beat drives the movement. This 30 minute class is sure to make you sweat, put a smile on your face and free your mind. The music in a Buti Yoga class is LOUD and this class will be driven by the beat of live drummers. Join Gabby in setting your intention, clear away stuck energy, revitalize the body and spiral it away on your yoga mat.

Gabby Orcutt, RYT-200

Gabby Orcutt found yoga her sophomore year of college thanks to an early morning yoga flow on TV. She saw the benefits of yoga first hand: a lightness in the body, better digestion and a reduction in anxiety. Eight years later yoga reentered her life after gaining 60 lbs. while pregnant with her second child. She needed to find a workout she loved, it must tone the body and not involve running. A college friend kept raving about Buti Yoga and her progress pictures were impressive. Gabby tried Buti at 8 weeks postpartum and was met with the disappointing reality of how out of shape her body was after giving her all in creating two beautiful baby souls. After practicing Buti

Yoga consistently for two years, she went to the closest certification and has been sharing the practice within a three county radius of her home. Falling even deeper in love with yoga and reveling in its benefits, she finished her 200 hour RYT through Buti Yoga in July.

It is Gabby’s life mission to lead women on the path to self love and acceptance. To learn to love the body parts she once hated, to drop the lies from body dysmorphia and step into her power to rise up and live in her truth, unapologetically, everyday. This is achieved through Buti Yoga movement, Goddess Coaching mindset, and Boudoir portraits.

A landlocked mermaid, Gabby lives in DuBois, PA with her two children, husband and Miss Ursula Kitty the aquatic goddess of floof. She currently teaches at SoL Wellness & Gathering Space in DuBois, PA and Organic Mechanics in St. Marys, PA.
